January 2005: Buckalew Hospitality is started as a company that works with meeting and event planners to help them run their meetings

 

Apri 12, 2005: Buckalew Hospitality begins a transition with Ultimate Hospitality to take over their mystery shopping business

 

June 2005: After finishing college we start fulltime with a focus on growing business in the meeting management section  

 

July, 15, 2005 Buckalew Hospitality officially purchases the client list from Ultimate Hospitality for $500 dollars. This starts us in the world of mystery shopping. 7 clients continue on with Buckalew Hospitality. This includes 6 hotels in Orlando and one in Miami. At this point we had about 15 mystery shoppers.

 

January 1, 2006 The mystery shopping busines expands to 12 monthly mystery shops. With the expansion more shoppers are needed. We quickly expand through word of mouth and the local hospitality college. 

 

October 2006 Buckalew Hospitality splits off the mystery shopping segment of the operation. The company Service Quality Solutions is created and a partner Pamela Allison is brought into the mix.

 

March of 2007: We are contacted by the Regional HR director of Hilton hotels. They are interested in helping us expand. We add more hotels to orlando and gain new hotels in Fort Lauderdale.

 

July 2007: Buckalew Hospitality adds meeting and event staffing to its list of services. Our first program was called Just Read! Florida and we needed 14 staff on the peak day

 

July 2007: Buckalew Hospitality expands to Georgia, this being before our presense on facebook we take a trip up to atlanta to expand our shopper base in the area.

 

May 2008: Buckalew Hospitality enters a new segment. We start renting out audio visual equipment for small meetings and events. We offer a service where we go to your meeting at a restaurant or hotel and set up projectors, screens, computer, speaker systems and microphones.

 

October 2008: Service Quality solutions attemps to try its hand with online evaluations and starts conductigng its evaluations online

 

December 31, 2008: Pamela Allison leaves Service quality solutions after obtaining her Docterate at the University of Central Florida. She takes a very good job at Syracuse. Service Quality Solutions dissolves. Buckalew Hospitality takes back over the mystery shopping the next day

 

Janaury 1, 2009 Buckalew Hospitality ends the online reporting and goes back to excel. Costs are able to stay the same and business picks up despite a tough economy. Many hotels transition to Buckalew Hospitality because of our afforable product and in depth evaluations.

 

October 14, 2009: Buckalew Hospitality Joins Facebook. A resource that helps us communciate with our shoppers and staff. It also helps expand our shopper database from a few hundred to well over 1,500 today.

 

April 1, 2011 Buckalew Hospitality annouces the addition of Joanna Iaciofoli to the team. She is brought on to handle shopper scheduling, shopper invoices and serves as a liason to the hotels to schedule their audits.

  

May 2011: David Buckalew of Buckalew Hospitality speaks about hotel mystery shopping at the IMSC Conference in Orlando, FL

 

January 1, 2012 Buckalew Hospitality annouces the addition of Miggie Suarez to the team. She is brough on as a sales manager to increase business oppurtunities for Buckalew Hospitality

 

February 28, 2012 Buckalew Hospitality goes international when it adds a hotel in St John's Canada
